Job Description
Teaching:
Teach consistently high quality, high-energy lessons. * Ensure class set-up is performed prior to class commencement including placement of approved signage. * Instruct the company program that has been designed in a fun, educational and safe manner. * Ensure codes of behavior and rules are displayed adequately and adhered to. * Ensure the checklist of what is to be covered in each class is completed for each class. * Prioritise and manage time effectively * Updating professional knowledge and expertise as appropriate to keep abreast with developments in coaching practice and methodology, in general, and in the program area. * Promote PE learning throughout of hours activities. * Ensuring a high quality learning and development environment is maintained at all times.
Feedback and Tracking
Provide constructive, honest feedback on the progress of classes to the management team. * Advise management of non-attendees for each class each day. * Collect feedback forms from clients at week 5 each term. * Assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of students and to keep such records as are required.
Staff Development:
To continue personal development in the relevant areas including subject knowledge and teaching methods * To engage actively in the Performance Management process * Attendance at any company training is compulsory.
Equipment Maintenance :
Ensure all equipment is in excellent condition at relevant locations. * Report any missing or damaged equipment to management immediately. * Ensure that all equipment is appropriately locked away and prudently transported between locations. * Assist in timely equipment stock takes
Safeguarding:
Ensure all children in class are correctly enrolled in the program and that parent’s have completed medical and consent forms. * Report any incidents or feedback to management within 12 hours of occurrence. * Be keenly aware of the responsibility for safeguarding children and to help in the application of the Safeguarding and Safe Practices policy
Communications, Marketing and Liaison:
To communicate effectively with the parents of students as appropriate. * To take part in marketing and liaison activities such as Open Evenings, Parents’ Evenings, liaison events with partner schools, etc. * Ensure any forms or handouts (for example re-enrollment forms) are distributed to parents when requested by management. * To comply with the organization’s Health & Safety policy and undertake risk assessments as appropriate.
Personal Responsibilities:
Ensure that you have completed the Level 1 Coaching Principles course and follow the correct training manuals. * To support the organization’s distinctive mission and ethos and to encourage staff and participants to follow this example * To support the organization in meeting its legal requirements. * To be responsible for own continued professional development. * To be courteous to all internal and external stakeholders – colleagues, visitors and telephone callers and provide a welcoming environment * To set cover work during any leave of absence * Carry out additional reasonable tasks requested by management on an ad-hoc basis
