Strengthening presence in global EV market with first supply of OE tires to one of the top global EV manufacturers BYD
Optimized tires fitted for high-performance electric sedan SEAL 6, and Dolphin Surf, which is gaining attention in Europe
SEOUL, South Korea, June 22, 2026 – NEXEN TIRE, a leading global tire manufacturer, announced that it is supplying OE tires for two BYD EV models, the SEAL 6 and the Dolphin Surf. As its first OE supply partnership with BYD, NEXEN TIRE expects this deal to boost the company’s standing among global EV automakers.

The BYD SEAL 6 is exported to key overseas markets, making it a strategic model for NEXEN TIRE. Vehicles exported to the Australia region will be equipped with the N’FERA Sport, NEXEN TIRE’s ultra-high-performance summer tire. The N’FERA Sport delivers a sporty driving performance and excellent high-speed stability, and has been recognized for its quality and performance thanks to strong results in prestigious European tire tests.

BYD Dolphin Surf exported to Europe will be equipped with the N’Blue S, a high-efficiency summer tire designed to meet the EU’s increasingly stringent carbon emission regulations. The N’Blue S minimizes rolling resistance while improving drainage and wet braking at high speeds, and has been selected as OE equipment for various European-style vehicles and EVs.

Since it first began selling OE tires to overseas automakers in 2012, NEXEN TIRE has become an established supplier to major global automotive manufacturers, including premium European brands, and is widely recognized for its advanced technology and quality products.
