Description
We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laundry Attendant. The Laundry Attendant will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and quality of linens, towels, and other textiles used throughout the hotel/resort. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, and other textiles according to established procedures and standards.
Inspect items for stains, damages, or defects, treating stains and repairing minor damages as needed.
Operate commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines, safely and efficiently.
Monitor inventory levels of linens and supplies, requisitioning replacements as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room, including keeping equipment and work areas clean and free of clutter.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling chemicals, operating machinery, and lifting heavy loads.
Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and towels to guest rooms and public areas.
Handle guest requests and inquiries regarding laundry services promptly and courteously.
Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail and quality control, with the ability to identify and address stains, damages, and defects.
Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently, following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team to achieve common goals.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the hotel’s operating hours.
